Well..... been a while

since I've posted. I guess I can tell you that I've been on a "sugar free" diet for going on 3 weeks now. The first 3 days were challenging. I am proud to say that I was tempted TWICE yesterday & not one time did I feel the urge to even TASTE any of it! :) I'm trying to condition myself & detox my body of all the blah stuff in it; however, it has been a struggle. I'm told that once I have 3 weeks under my belt, my mind will see "sweets" in a completely different way & I shouldn't feel the need for sugar. We shall see.

I have my first big fundraiser coming up the 3rd weekend in June. We are doing a "Painting for the 'Girls'" fundraiser where we will be painting a beautiful summertime beachy picture on canvas in Wetumpka thanks to my friend Angie Drew! :) We will be asking for a $30 donation that will include your painting and some refreshments that will be served.

Soon after that, we will be having a Goddess Aerobics fundraiser where we will be doing a chair dance to "You Can Leave Your Hat On" by Joe Crocker. I've learned that dance & must say it's quite HOT! So any girls out there reading this, be sure to check back in a couple of weeks for details!

I have also been talking to a friend of mine who is in a band about doing a benefit for us at an establishment in Montgomery. Hopefully, we will have more details regarding that as well. I'm thinking August, since that's when I'll be celebrating my 40th b'day, so I can ask friends & family to come & give to my fundraiser in lieu of birthday prizes. What an awesome 40th birthday would that be? Raising money for my favorite charity in the world? Who could ask for anything more?

I am still just as stoked about this walk as I was the day I knew my buddy Lisa was involved. God is good all the time AND all the time God is good!

Peace,
Tr-
